PARMAGNUS CITIZEN SCIENCE DIGITAL COMMUNITY
In the spring of 2023, an entire group of 260 UTEP students became the first participants of Dr. Noriega-Mendoza's astronomy class in the Zooniverse citizen science initiative. As of now, spring 2024, our ParMagnus community of citizen scientists has grown to some 600 registered participants, now including also EPCC students. Our goal is to create a robust and diverse community of citizen scientists in the borderplex region that also fosters the participation of motivated high school students and the general public on both sides of El Río Bravo.

Since 2023, the ParMagnus community has participated in several space and astronomy-related citizen science projects in the Zooniverse, including the search for Extrasolar Planets, the Catalina Sky Survey and the analysis of the Martian surface and atmosphere.
